Xbox's Phil Spencer Joins Us! - Kinda Funny Gamescast Ep. 81

In a new interview with wired, the director of the Xbox, Phil Spencer, discussed the vision of Microsoft for the future of the game, while we are a few weeks from the exit of the Xbox Series X and S.

Spencer pointed out that, while in the past the society was looking exclusively with powerful equipment, it now learned that making the content as widely accessible as possible is the most important thing.

This explains why Microsoft introduced Xbox Game Pass on Android devices and continues to acquire studios to improve its exclusive content library.

We do not consider them every fewer because they did not go buy one of our consoles, said Microsoft s Executive Vice Presidents about people playing Xbox games on mobile or PC. At some point, we will have Xbox customers who do not know us on their phone, and it s also very good.

The Xbox Game Pass cloud game, formerly known as Project Xcloud, is now available on Android and Microsoft also strives to broadcast the service on iOS, although Apple hesitates to allow libraries to access multiple games on its store.

For consumers who want the best of their game devices, however, the Xbox Series X should provide a leap forward compared to the Xbox One X, on things such as loading times.

In addition to this, Spencer also offered a comment on the 8k and throwing it from rays, two things that he is not really convinced that they will really make a long-term difference.

The PS5 and the Xbox Series X support the 8K output for the media, but the games will be a really different beast because we will always see cases of titles running below the native 4K resolution.

I think the 8k is an ambitious technology, he said, sharing that he does not really believe that it will one day become a norm in the game. The display capacities of the devices are not yet really there. I think we are in years before the 8k becomes - if it s - the norm in video games.

When I think of the games where the ray throw has had a dramatic impact on my player experience, it s rather irregular, added Xbox Head.

It s a fairly frank answer even though the Xbox Series X even takes care of the hearts entirely dedicated to the throwing of rays by design.
