Square Enix has finally released further details on its much discussed Kingdom Hearts mobile game, which was previously known as "Project Xehanort". We now know that the final title Kingdom Hearts Dark Road is and that the game should be released this spring for iOS and Android.
Interestingly, it is transferred to the existing Kingdom Hearts Union X so that you can play two full games in the same app. This seems to be a strange decision, but does not sound too confusing as they can start both games relatively easily via the Union X menu. Such odor is probably expected from a series like Kingdom Hearts.
Dark Road is supposed to "offer exciting high-speed battles that depend on reflections", and it will explore Xehanort's past and bring light on the way that led him to the viewfinder of the darkness and a general pain on all sides.
While Dark Road and Union remain stand-alone games, Square Enix is planning to offer a "link campaign" in which your in Union X deserves medals you reward you with points that you can exchange for cards in Dark Road.
This campaign should only take place once to celebrate the start of Dark Road. In addition, only those who played Union X played before the start of Dark Road. So it looks like Square also use today's announcement to promote the commitment of the players for Union X.
All currently available information can be found here. And if you have not done so, you can download Kingdom Hearts Union X from both AppStore and Google Play. It is a free title with iaps. Kingdom Hearts Dark Road will be released in the spring for iOS and Android.
